Since the moment 2012 hit and we were invited (and definitely honored) to join the collaborative team of EQ, we saw the "Find Yours" campaign going above and beyond our expectations. From that 2-day video shoot all over Chicago to long nights of photoshoots with the EQ team burning the midnight oil, seeing all our supporters, family and friends at the Media Launch party at RGB Lounge this past weekend made it that much more special. Seeing the crowd glued to the projector as our video launched and hearing the loud cheers afterwards - it definitely made us proud to be a part of such a great team.
To go along with the "Find Yours" - whether it be a lifestyle, a hobby and so forth - Appleavocado has definitely discovered a kind of team that has not only shown us their creativity and loyalty, but we've been blown away by their passion and dedication. Each team member gave 110% into this project. EQ is not just some company that sells fancy bags - it's become a family of artists, bboys, photographers, car enthusiasts, and all the other lifestyles we cater to to unite and show off their individuality with their gear. We can't thank our supporters enough on this journey.
And we definitely can't thank Morris and Phalkun of EQ enough for allowing us to be a part of their movement. This is your vision - and look where it's heading. We're proud of you guys!

This past weekend, the EQ team was at it again. Only this time, our "models" were the bags themselves. The product shoot was a long one - prepping the bags to perfection, making sure they were clean, presentable and in uniform to one another, but with the mad photography skills of Light|n|Motion, we were able to get it done. No doubt, we did get a little stir crazy, and maybe it was all the coffee we consumed, so our goofiness definitely slipped through. Luckily, Unscene Media Group was able to capture these laughable moments in video and in photographs.
Another great experience working with our collab team, and just one step closer to releasing the final product of the "Find Yours" 2012 campaign. Keep an eye out as we 'll be releasing the fresh new look of Equilibrium's website and commercial next month!

January 17, 2012 | Commercial Shoot
The start of the new year has already been filled with cars, anime, ruckuses, art, bboys and trains for Appleavocado - a rather different scene compared to our day-to-day work in our studio full of Sharpies, paints, charcoal & spray paint fumes. We were very excited to partner up with Equilibrium USG & Unscene Media Group in creating a new art piece - EQ's 2012 "Find Yours" campaign. Our social media skills, copywriting and of course our doodling capabilities were put to the test in this collaboration.
Prior to the actual shooting of our commercial, the EQ team gathered for many brainstorming sessions and we got our creative juices flowing. It was a perfect fit, our energy with one another was on a high & fueled by everybody's passion to make this product the best it could be. Storyboards were illustrated, location scouting was in the works, cast calls were sent out and itineraries were carefully configured. Perfecting this commercial was our top priority and it was amazing to see the teamwork that had evolved from start to finish. We want to send a huge shoutout to EQ for letting us be a part of their team and movement. We appreciate the fact that you're letting us put in our own creative spin into this campaign and we can't wait for the other 2012 projects to follow!
Appleavocado is starting off 2012 thinking and doing BIG things, and we're thankful that we've found our collaborative team to do so.
